Raising achievement through Assessment for Learning - SOLD OUT - London

We are pleased to be welcoming Dawn Taylor, Deputy Director, Progression and Personalisation Division, DfE, to update you on the latest government policy on Assessment for Learning. Dawn will show you how APP and AfL fit into the bigger picture of raising achievement, and show you how they can be used collaboratively to develop a highly effective approach to assessment.

Dr Christine Harrison, Head of Assessment for Learning Research Group, King’s College London, will reveal the latest research findings on AfL strategies proven to have the greatest impact on pupil progress. Christine will share how AfL has evolved in secondary schools over the  last decade and help you apply the principals of highly effective AfL in the classroom to personalise learning for all students. Professor Paul Black, Emeritus Professor of Education at King’s College London and Joint Author mwith Dylan Wiliam of ‘Inside the Black Box’, will also be joining us to help you bring AfL to the centre of teaching and learning at your school. Paul will help you develop your colleagues’ understanding of AfL principals and lead training that delivers a consistent approach to AfL amongst your teaching staff.
