Raising the achievement of Looked After Children - London

Overview

We are delighted to welcome Chris Batty, HMI, Interim Divisional Manager Social Care and National Lead for Safeguarding and Looked After Children Inspections, Ofsted. Chris will outline the new inspection framework and the criteria your practice will be judged against, so you can ensure you are prepared. He will also highlight effective practice found in previous inspections to help you make evidence-based interventions back at school.

Experienced Designated Teacher, Elaine Willey, Whitefield School will provide practical tips on effectively fulfilling the role of Designated Teacher. She will demonstrate what has worked well to improve outcomes for their Looked After Children and show you how to implement this effective practice back at school.
